Volkswagen Jetta Featured Prominently in film 'Horrible Bosses'

One of the best comedies to come out this year was Horrible Bosses, about three 30-some-odd year old men who all have bosses that are the bane of their existence so they pledge to each kill one another's superiors. It sounds a bit dark, but it actually has numerous laughs from beginning to end with a very unique plot that ends up having a few twists and turns. Perhaps, the most interesting thing a few of us at East Coast Volkswagen, serving the greater Myrtle Beach  area, found when watching this hilarious movie was that it features a new Volkswagen Jetta.

Even if you aren't a Jetta aficionado it is hard to miss the car in the film as it is featured throughout the entire movie, shot from many different angles, doing numerous stunts, giving it a unique persona that is daring, fun-driving, capable, and hearty. That said. East Coast Volkswagen would argue that the product placement was strategic enough not to be overbearing and the movie, clever enough not to be overcome by the VW  Jetta.

While Horrible Bosses clearly tells you that the Jetta delivers performance disproportionate to its size and unexpected thrill...and if we remember correctly, it even hints at competitive fuel economy...there are a few things the movie doesn't divulge.  For example, did you know that the Volkswagen Jetta is ...
- An IIHS Top Safety Pick
- Available in four different trims: S, S with Sunroof, SE, and SE with Convenience
-  A frisky sedan with 23-24 mpg/city and 33-34 mpg hway, depending on trim
-Powerful, with 115 hp-170 hp and 125 lb.-ft. to 177 lb.-ft. of towing power, depending on trim
