Yes this is the stuff we have come accustomed to being seen in movies, that is why they are movies. But what if Volkswagen were to actually create its own airborne vehicle and actually take it to the streets of Myrtle Beach and beyond?

As far-fetched as…

Ward's Gives Volkswagen Beetle Seal of Approval

Among the many things new car buyers consider when deciding exactly which model to drive home in are safety, price, performance, fuel economy and looks. Another less talked about deciding factor is the car's interior - the side of a car drivers and passengers see/experience the most.

To help drivers narrow down their options, the famed auto critics at Ward's developed an "Interior of the Year" award a few years back. Since, it's morphed into a more expansive, "10 Best Interiors" list. And, East Coast Volkswagen serving Myrtle Beach is proud to say that Volkswagen has earned…

Volkswagen Supports Young Adults Affected by Cancer

One of the worst parts about cancer is that it can affect literally anyone, regardless of age. That's why the non-profit organization, Stupid Cancer actively support and empowers young adults who've been diagnosed. Nevada Ruling Bodes Well for Volkswagen Temporary Auto Pilot System

Remember last summer when news of the Volkswagen Temporary auto Pilot System broke? For those of you who maybe missed it, let us refresh your memory.  In June 2011, the Germany automaker presented an innovative technology called Temporary Auto Pilot (TAP).

As the name suggests, TAP is essentially a compromise between today's driver assistance technology (i.e., park assist) and fully automated vehicles. Designed to be monitored, rather than actively operated by the driver, TAP-equipped Volkswagen vehicles are said to be capable of driving on the highway at speeds of up to 80 miles per hour.

Needless to say…

Volkswagen Lures You with "The Bark Side"

Those who are big Star Wars buffs and dog lovers should continue reading as Volkswagen found a great way to combine the two. The video, officially dubbed "The Bark Side," features a chorus of eleven dogs howling out the "Imperial March" that often denotes Darth Vader's entrance.

The New 2012 Volkswagen Passat Earns a 5-Star Safety Rating

It is no surprise that a Volkswagen vehicle once again earned a five-star safety rating from The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA). The company just released more 2012 model-year safety ratings at the close of December and among the ones featured is the Volkswagen Passat. Even with the NHTSA's more stringent guidelines, the Passat proved so resilient in front, rollover, and combined side-pole and barrier tests that it earned a perfect five-star composite score.

You might recognize the side-poll criteria as new to the NHTSA suite of crash tests. Ultimately, it's designed to simulate a car…

Super Bowl to Feature Another Great Ad from Volkswagen

A big announcement was recently revealed by Volkswagen. Surprisngly the announcement is not an all-new model or a redesigned favorite. After one of last year's commercials from the German automaker garnered more then 45-million hits on Youtube, why wouldn't they go for another one?

Viewers of the Super Bowl weren't the only ones who enjoyed "The Force." Adweek named…
